Behavioral Support Counselor/Social Worker
The role of the Part Time Behavioral Support Counselor/ Social Worker is to primarily provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services and the Supportive Counseling component of Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment to Adults, Children and Adolescents in the Greater New Orleans Area. The position requires work in the home, school, and community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 yr. experience with Adults and Children with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and hold the LMSW or CSW Credential. The year of experience should include working in non traditional treatment settings (jail, home, schools, hospitals, etc.). In addition, Candidates with training in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma Informed Care are preferred. A Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, and/or Sociology is required. A degree in anything other than the disciplines listed above will not be accepted. Participation in agency supervision, meetings, and Pre-employment training is mandatory. A valid Drivers License with state minimum Insurance and transportation are required. The candidate must be professional, reliable, a team player, and self motivated.

School Based Social Worker-LCSW
Our Agency is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to work for 30 hours in a School Based setting. The Independently Licensed Clinician will work directly with students with Mental and Behavioral Health needs. The ideal candidate has experience with High Risk Children and Families and Trauma Informed Care. Experience and/or working knowledge of Individualized Education Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and Positive Behavior Support interventions are a plus. School Based experience is also preferred. In addition, candidates with specific training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Crisis Intervention are desirable. We are seeking Candidates who are highly motivated, professional, and who hold high Ethical Standards. The ability to work independently is also necessary. A 1 year Commitment to the position is required.
