Masters Level Counselor/Social Worker

​The role of the Part Time Behavioral Support Masters Level Counselor/ Social Worker will provide the Counseling component of Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment to Adults, Children and Adolescents in the Greater New Orleans Area. The position requires work in the home, school, and community settings. Some telehealth and office work may also be provided. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 yrs. experience with Adults and Children with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and hold the LMSW, PLPC, or CSW Credential.  The years of experience should include working in non traditional treatment settings (jail, home, schools, hospitals, etc.). In addition, Candidates with training in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma Informed Care are preferred. A Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, and/or Sociology is required. Doctoral Interns in APA Accredited Psychology programs can also apply. A degree in anything other than the disciplines listed above will not be accepted. Participation in agency supervision, meetings, and Pre-employment training is mandatory. A valid Drivers License with state minimum Insurance and transportation are required. The candidate must be professional, reliable, a team player, and self motivated.
We are seeking candidates who can make a minimum 1 yr. commitment to the agency. Pre-Employment Criminal Background Checks, Drug Screenings, and Traffic and Motor Vehicle Record Checks will be required. Serious Applicants Only!
